Dennis Lombard, retired retailer

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Retailer Dennis L. Lombard died here June 27. He was 87.
Lombard started his furniture career at F&R Lazarus Department Store in 1938. He opened his first furniture store, Lombard Lane, in 1952 and subsequently expanded to include Lombard's Furniture Gallery, Lombard's Homemaker Shop and Durrant's.
He sold his business and retired to Naples, Fla., in 1984.
He is survived by his wife, one daughter and two sons.
