Many rug vendors moving to new showrooms

HIGH POINT — Rug vendors are doing the High Point showroom shuffle.
By moving out of the International Home Furnishings Center and into the design-oriented Market Square building, Shaw Rugs is making the biggest move, both psychologically and physically.
"At 5,500 square feet, our new Market Square space is the largest permanent showroom we have," said Jeff Meadows, vice president of the Shaw Rug division. "It will be a perfect complement for our furniture-oriented licenses such as Tommy Bahama, Kathy Ireland and Martha Stewart."
Meanwhile, Feizy Imports, which was formerly in Space 204 at Market Square, has moved to even large quarters in Space 124, Market Square.
Nejad Oriental is moving into Shaw's former space D343 in the IHFC.
Harounian Rugs International is leaving the Suites at Market Square to take up residence at IHFC D-309.
The Sphinx division of Oriental Weavers is taking a separate showroom for its new Oasis handmade collections. The Oasis rugs will be showing two spaces away from the main showroom at D-312 at the IHFC.
Company C has moved from the IHFC Interhall to Suites at Market Square, Space G1304.
