Transport conference set for May

ORLANDO, Fla. — The annual International Conference of Furniture Transportation and Logistics Managers will be held at the new Hard Rock Hotel in the Universal Orlando property here May 1-3.

This year's conference has as its theme, "How We're Meeting Today's Furniture Transportation and Logistics Challenges."

Sessions will cover such topics as handling importing on your own, overseas consolidation, warehouse and distribution center siting, home delivery improvement, customer service, the future of specialized furniture carriers, and emerging trends in furniture transportation and logistics.

Furniture manufacturers, retailers and specialized carrier transportation and logistics professionals from the United States and Canada are expected to attend.
