GERS makes staff changes

SAN DIEGO — Software provider GERS Retail Systems has hired a new vice president and promoted two of its executives.
John Sailer has joined GERS as vice president of strategy and solutions, a newly created position. He is responsible for leading the company's marketing strategy, business consulting, and business development functions to ensure consistency between the company's business strategy, solutions portfolio, and value message to customers. He reports to Jim Henderson, president and CEO.
Sailer most recently was with consultant Verity Partners, and has worked in software and with retail and consumer goods clients for 16 years.
Mardig Ghazarian has been promoted to chief technology officer from director of technology.
Thomas Mudd has been promoted to vice president of development from director of development. He leads a team of more than 100 software developers.
Neither Ghazarian's or Mudd's previous positions have been filled.
