Invista taps more execs

More executives have accepted positions at Invista, formerly DuPont Textiles and Interiors, pending the completion of its acquisition by subsidiaries of Koch Inds.

Steve Kromer will be senior vice president, strategy, sourcing and business development. He joined Koch in 1982 and is currently managing director of corporate business development. Kromer is replacing George Gregory, current KoSa president, who elected not to join the new Invista organization.

Kevin Fogarty will be president, polymers and resins, and will be based in Wichita. Fogarty is president of Koch's KoSa polymer and intermediates business. He joined Koch in 1991.

Gerold Linzbach will be president, textile fibers. Based in Charlotte, N.C., he will oversee Invista's staple, tire cord, mechanical rubber goods and polyester textile filament businesses. Linzbach currently is president of KoSa's fibers business.

David Duncan, previously a member of Koch's corporate business development team, will become an Invista vice president and will initially focus on restructuring the nylon apparel business. He has been with Koch since 1997 and is leading the Koch-Invista transition team.

Greg Biederman will become vice president, specialty products, for Invista, reporting to Intermediates President Kenneth Wall. Biederman, now a global business director for Invista, joined DuPont in 1980.

As previously announced, William Ghitis, David Trerotola, Alan Wolk and Wall will be presidents of the Apparel, Performance Fibers, Interiors and Intermediates businesses, respectively, at Invista. Ghitis and Trerotola will be work in the Wilmington, Del., area, Wolk will be based in Atlanta and Wall will be in Wichita.

Invista is the largest integrated fiber and intermediates business in the world, has interests in 50 global manufacturing sites and operates in 50 countries.
