MacRae is Stoney Creek assistant GM

STONEY CREEK, Ontario — Veteran retailer Alixe MacRae has joined Stoney Creek Furniture here as assistant general manager.

Her responsibilities will be in marketing and merchandising as the retailer embarks on a major expansion program in the coming year.

She reports to General Manager Jim Carruthers.

MacRae previously worked for Canada's two largest department stores, most recently as marketing manager, major home fashions at The Bay. She also served as The Bay's divisional merchandise manager, major home fashions.

Before joining The Bay, she held various management posts at Sears Canada.
