Flex to distribute Sealy in Spain, Portugal

TRINITY, N.C. — Sealy has entered a partnership with Flex, Spain's largest bedding producer, to distribute Sealy branded products in Spain and Portugal.
The companies said the deal gives Flex access to a widely known brand while giving U.S. bedding major Sealy immediate distribution and significant growth opportunities with a European market leader.
Flex is a third-generation, family-owned manufacturer that has a 30% market share in Spain and also distributes in Portugal and other international markets. Flex also owns the 73-store Spanish bedding specialty retailer Noctalia.
"This strategic initiative is a perfect partnership for both Sealy and Flex," said Larry Rogers, president of the Sealy International Bedding Group. "We have combined the strength of the Sealy brand with one of the strongest producers in Europe."
