Symetri upgrades sales force automation software
Brian Carroll -- Furniture Today, February 15, 2004
HIGH POINT — New sales force automation software from Symetri features several upgrades over previous Know-It versions.
Symetri Sales Express offers for the first time a centralized database that can be shared with multiple applications, simpler set-up procedures for both manufacturer and user, and system administration tools that eliminate the need to build and process large load files or reloads.
"We have taken the reporting strength of Know-It and combined it with a whole new range of technical capabilities, creating a software tool that's powerful but also quick and easy to use," said Symetri President Ron Jones Jr.
In 2002, Symetri acquired Know-It's sales force programs from Rightlinx. Following extensive revisions, the company relaunched Know-It later that year.
One of Symetri's clients, Broyhill Furniture, helped develop Sales Express, field-testing the software and giving Symetri valuable insight and expertise, Jones said.
Symetri plans to roll out additional components of Sales Express for the High Point market in April. Among the features planned for the next release are a new user interface and migration to the Microsoft .NET platform.
Other core Symetri offerings include business-to-business software applications, consumer Web sites and data exchange systems.
Founded in 1999, the company has offices in High Point and Atlanta. Clients include Barcalounger, Lee Inds., Sealy, Shaw Inds. and Bassett Bedding.
