McGee joins Showplace

HIGH POINT — HIGH POINT — Tim McGee, former director of leasing here for Merchandise Mart Properties Inc., has been named vice president of leasing for Showplace, the 500,000-square-foot showroom venue in downtown High Point.

McGee had worked in MMPI's High Point office since 2000. Earlier, he spent six years in leasing at the Atlanta Market Center.

MMPI, whose High Point showroom properties include Market Square, Plaza Suites, Furniture Plaza and the National Furniture Mart, is the second-largest showroom operator in the city. Showplace, which opened its current facility four years ago, is the third largest.

MMPI hasn't named a replacement for McGee.
