Premarket golf set for March 21
By Furniture Today Staff -- Furniture Today, February 15, 2004
GREENSBORO, N.C. — Golfers attending premarket will have a chance to get in a round on the links when Merchandise Mart Properties Inc. and Furniture/Today host the second Premarket Golf Scramble on Sunday, March 21, at the Grandover Resort and Conference Center here.
Premarket, the preview of April market introductions, takes place the week of March 22.
The Golf Scramble begins with a 12:30 p.m. shotgun start and will end with a reception featuring heavy hors d'oeuvres and a bar. The $100 per person fee covers greens fees, cart fees, range balls, a boxed lunch and a cooler of refreshments.
"As part of Furniture/Today's ongoing mission to successfully bring the industry together, we are once again partnering with Merchandise Mart Properties Inc. to make this a reality," said Kevin Castellani, the newspaper's vice president and publishing director. "Last year was an overwhelming success and we believe this year will be even bigger and better."
"This is a great opportunity for us to spend time with our exhibitors and their customers in a social setting the day before premarket," said Tom Mitchell, MMPI vice president for High Point. "The overwhelming response we received at our fall event convinced us to commit to sponsor this tournament with Furniture/Today every premarket going forward."
Reservations may be made by calling April Hoffman at (336) 869-8758 or by e-mailing her at aprilhoffman@worldnet.att.net. Overnight room reservations are available.
