CAIRO, Egypt — Furnex, Egypt's sixth annual furniture and home furnishings trade fair, will be held from June 4-8 at the Cairo International Convention Center.
To help boost attendance, event organizers ExpoLink and the Egyptian Furniture Export Council said the show is offering an expenses-paid trip to U.S. buyers. The offer includes airfare, five-star hotel accommodations and a half-day of sightseeing in and around Cairo.
Furnex will have some 200 Egyptian manufacturers showcasing their latest products in about 210,000 square feet of exhibit space. Factory visits are available for interested buyers.
According to show organizers, the Egyptian furniture industry employs more than a million workers. About 25% of the country's $2 billion in furniture production is exported.
Last year the show drew 650 international buyers representing 57 countries and nearly 530 companies.
