Linon Home Décor opens Atlanta market showroom
By Furniture Today Staff -- Furniture Today, March 16, 2009
ATLANTA — New rug vendor Linon Home Décor Products has opened a permanent showroom in Americasmart, space 6-G-12, in the former showroom of Hellenic Rug Imports.
The grand opening was March 14, the first day of the three-day Atlanta Gift & Home Furnishings Market.
Steve Mazarakis, formerly CEO of Hellenic, was recently named to head the new Linon rug division.
The showroom will be open daily and will display all of the company’s running area rug lines, including the licensed Southern Living Magazine collection. The space will also feature wall art as well as selected furniture products.
“We feel very strongly about our new area rug division, and we needed a permanent showroom where we can have our selections displayed year round,” said Jim Ziozis, Linon Home Décor Products president. “The Atlanta Merchandise Mart has proven to be the capital of the area rug business, as well as gifts and accessories. If we want to be in the rug business we need a presence in Atlanta.”
Linon has also named Amanda Andrews its Atlanta showroom manager. She had held a similar post for Hellenic.
