Paul Peters, Cindy Goss to head Broyhill upholstery
Replacing Anthony Teague and Tom Little
Gary Evans -- Furniture Today, March 27, 2009
LENOIR, N.C. — Industry veterans Paul Peters and Cindy Goss will head Broyhill Furniture's upholstery program after the departure of Anthony Teague and Tom Little, who are joining Jackson Furniture Inds.
Peters joined Broyhill last year in a senior sales position after serving as head of marketing for upholstery manufacturer Hickory Hill. He is moving into Teague's former position as vice president of upholstery.
Goss, who has served as a fabric and merchandising consultant to Broyhill, will assume the position of vice president of upholstery merchandising.
"Broyhill is very fortunate to have two industry legends driving our upholstery program," said President Jeff Cook. "Paul's long experience in both sales and merchandising is a perfect marriage of skills as Broyhill leverages its industry leadership in consumer product testing. Being able to translate the retail experience into our proprietary testing methodology will make our investments in this research even more effective."
"Paul and Cindy are very well known in our industry as not only business leaders but outstanding designers and merchandisers."
Peters brings more than 20 years of furniture experience to Broyhill, having served as president of Cochrane Furniture and in management with Hickory Hill and Clayton Marcus. He will report to Cook.
Goss is a former director of merchandising for Klaussner and past recipient of Furniture/Today's Upholstery Merchandising Leadership Award. Her 25 years of service in the industry includes retail store development with Levitz and merchandising work with both Klaussner and Brookwood.
No announcement has been made of the roles Teague and Little will play at Jackson.
"Broyhill appreciates the contributions Anthony and Tom made during their tenure and wishes them the best in their new roles," Cook said.
