HFIA, Profitsystems team up

Dallas — Retail software provider Profitsystems and the Home Furnishings Independents Assn. have entered into an agreement that will help HFIA members obtain innovative computer tools to run their operations, according to the association.
"Our first member solution offering resulting from this agreement is to provide our members a direct line to Profiton-demand, the Internet-based format of Profitsystems software," said Mary Frye, president of the 1,500-member HFIA.
The agreement will give members a financial benefit in obtaining the Internet-based software, said Frye.
She said the use of Internet-based management tools offers a way for retailers to computerize their operations, or improve their existing systems, at a much lower cost than having proprietary software installed on site.
Future offerings through the Profitsystems agreement will include consulting, education and a host of other business solutions, said Frye.
"We are dedicated to helping our members succeed and are looking forward to working with Profitsystems," she said.
Profitsystems CEO Jeff Niskern added, "We look forward to building this relationship with the HFIA and its members and believe that this is a great opportunity for everyone involved."
