Natuzzi shifts execs
Joan Gunin -- Furniture Today, May 3, 2004
HIGH POINT — HIGH POINT— Gary Greenbaum and Steve Bailey are in new roles at Natuzzi Americas.
The Italian-owned upholstery manufacturer has promoted Greenbaum to vice president of retail and brand development. Bailey, who has been vice president of marketing and retail development, moves to Greenbaum's old post as vice president of sales, eastern region.
Greenbaum, a two-year Natuzzi veteran, has a retail background, including more than 20 years with Milford, Conn.-based Wayside Furniture. He reports to Fred Starr, president and CEO of Natuzzi Americas. Bailey, who now reports to John Phillips, executive vice president of sales, joined Natuzzi in 2000 after serving as director of advertising for Bassett's store program.
"We've had considerable success with our Natuzzi Gallery program and want to continue to strengthen the Natuzzi brand and our retailer partnerships," said Starr. "We're very fortunate to have the right people within the company to move ahead."
Greenbaum is responsible for retail programs and brand-building operations in the Americas, including advertising and public relations. He will develop a retail marketing department, oversee and grow the 200-unit gallery program, and manage Natuzzi University, an in-house training program for sales associates.
Reporting to Greenbaum are Minoo Hinman, director of store planning; Lauren Martin, director of retail training, including Natuzzi University; Melanie Wyrick, brand communications coordinator; Cam Creech, retail advertising manager; and Erin McCarthy, marketing assistant.
Bailey's territory, from Maine to Florida and the Caribbean, is Natuzzi's largest in the world in sales volume, Starr said.
