HIGH POINT — HIGH POINT — Rug vendors are showing in new venues here this market, and at least one company is making its High Point debut.
Loloi Rugs, a newly formed importing company, is showing here for the first time in a 4,000-square-foot space in Market Square.
828 International Trading, which had exhibited in the Radisson hotel for several years, has opened a permanent showroom in Market Square.
In addition, Trade-Am, a major importer which previously exhibited in a private building, is taking over the old Oriental Weavers of America showroom on the third floor of the International Home Furnishings Center.
Meanwhile, Mohawk Home, which left the IHFC a couple years ago, will be showing its new Mohawk Select line of midtier products in a temporary space next to Karastan's Market Square showroom, said Bill Kilbride, president of Mohawk Home.
Karastan is a part of Mohawk Home, and Karastan sales representatives now are selling the Mohawk Select line. This market, Mohawk Select is introducing several licensed rug collections from designer Raymond Waites.
