American Furniture Hall of Fame seeking nominations

By Furniture Today Staff -- Furniture Today, April 6, 2009

The American Furniture Hall of Fame Foundation is seeking nominations for candidates to be inducted into the Hall of Fame later this year. Only members of the organization are eligible to nominate, second and vote.

“We encourage everyone in the industry to play this vital role in honoring and preserving the record of accomplishment of our industry’s great leaders,” said Don Belgrad, president of the Foundation. “It is one of our greatest responsibilities to future generations, as well as a great privilege afforded to members of the American Furniture Hall of Fame Foundation.”

Members may make nominations through May 11.

Ballots, along with a list of nominees and their biographical information, will be mailed June 15 and members will have until August 1 to vote. Winners will be announced at the American Furniture Hall of Fame banquet here on Oct. 18 during the fall High Point Market.

Nomination forms and lists of current members, previous nominees and inductees are available on the Foundation Web site at www.furniturehalloffame.com. Printed copies of the documents are available by calling (336) 882-5900.

Individual and corporate memberships in the Hall of Fame Foundation range from $250 to $1,000. All contributions are tax deductible. Checks should be made payable to American Furniture Hall of Fame Foundation and sent to 202 Neal Place, High Point, N.C. 27262.
