CONNELLY SPRINGS, N.C. — Kim Grimsley has joined Circa 1801, a division of Valdese Weavers, as design director/marketing manager.
She was most recently vice president of design and merchandising at Tietex Interiors.
In her new position, Grimsley will be responsible for all aspects of the development of the Circa 1801 brand and will manage product development and fabric design. She also will develop and implement marketing strategies, working with key customers.
“Kim Grimsley has become one of the most accomplished design and marketing talents in our industry through her leadership at Tietex and previously at Craftex,” said Michael Shelton, president and CEO of Valdese. “I think her dynamic leadership, coupled with the very talented creative team at Circa 1801, will take this brand to an exciting new level of prominence in the decorative fabric market.”
