Braithwaite named Selva America VP
By Furniture Today Staff -- Furniture Today, February 1, 2004
HIGH POINT — Paul Braithwaite has joined Selva Style International as vice president of the high-end Italian case goods manufacturer's U.S. operation, Selva America.
Braithwaite, based in High Point where Selva has a warehouse, will team with Mats Lundquist, who recently came on board as international sales manager.
Braithwaite most recently was vice president of high-end British case goods manufacturer Bevan Funnell, where he spent 18 years, including four in the company's High Point office.
Lundquist, who joined Selva in January, has a background in sales, marketing and consulting for various industries. He works out of Selva's Bolzano, Italy, headquarters and reports to Walter Messner, general manager of retail business.
Steve Terrell, who had served as Selva's U.S. sales manager, will work with Braithwaite as representative for the company's accounts from Washington to Atlanta.
"We're going to gain new focus for our U.S. business," Braithwaite said. "We've concentrated largely on the designer market, and now we will focus more on the retail market."
That will include supplementing existing collections with product geared specifically to the U.S. market.
"Paul will make things happen in America, and I'm the one who'll give him what he needs to meet his objectives, including sales support and marketing tools," Lundquist said.
