Jerry Richardson joins Wahlquist Management
Industry veteran will serve as regional sales consultant

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — Furniture sales promotion specialist Wahlquist Management has hired industry veteran Jerry Richardson as a regional sales consultant.

He also will develop accounts and market Wahlquist on a national level, the company said.
Richardson most recently was with Capital Management Group, a business he established to operate cash-raising sales for independent furniture stores. Earlier, he operated an Ashley Furniture HomeStore in Richmond, Va., and had run Capital Marketing Group to represent furniture to major chains.
Richardson spent most of his career with former Richmond-based retailer Heilig-Meyers. He started as a retail salesperson in 1967 and rose to vice president of merchandising, a post he held for 15 years before retiring in 2000.
"To have someone with Jerry's extensive knowledge of the furniture industry will prove to be a valuable asset to our organization," said Clay Wahlquist, president and CEO of Wahlquist Management.
