HIGH POINT — HIGH POINT — Cornerstone Health Care will again offer free minor medical care to visitors during the April 2004 Fall International Home Furnishings Market. The services are co-sponsored by the IHFM Authority and High Point Regional Health System.
Physicans, physician extenders, nurses and clinical staff from the Regional Emergency Physicians and from the Cornerstone providers network will provide the medical services.
The health services will be available at the HPRHS Hope Unit on Wrenn Street behind the Radisson Hotel, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday, April 21 through Tuesday, April 27. The facility is a 44-foot-long bus-like unit.
"Minor health problems are inevitable when you have such a large group of people traveling distances from their homes," said Judy Mendenhall, president of the IHFM Authority. "We're so pleased that Cornerstone Health Care, Regional Health Physicians and High Point Regional Health System are continuing to provide this free, convenient care to our out-of-town visitors. This contribution is a good example of local businesses supporting our objective of making the market as welcoming as possible."
Medical providers will be prepared to treat mild medical conditions, including headache, cough, earache, vomiting/diarrhea, rashes, sinusitis, stomach ache, conjuctivities, painful urination and allergy symptoms.
