Datacolor grows in China
By Furniture Today Staff -- Furniture Today, April 4, 2004
SHANGHAI, China — Datacolor, a manufacturer of color control systems for textiles and other industries, has opened its second facility in China.
Steve Shaw, vice president of color solutions, will run the new dedicated customer center in Shanghai, offering Datacolor's full range of products, services, training and support.
"As more and more of the supply chain shifts to this part of the world, we have deepened our commitment to the many manufacturers and suppliers in China for whom first-run color equals world-class quality," Shaw said.
Lawrenceville, N.J.-based Datacolor's first facility in China opened in Suzhou in September 2003 to streamline the company's operations by keeping component purchases and subassembly production within China.
