FARMINGTON, Mo. — Hefner Furniture & Appliance has opened a 12,500-square-foot Broyhill Furniture Showplace gallery in its store here, part of a 50,000-square-foot expansion that brought total retail space to 90,000 square feet.
Hefner Furniture began in the 1920s in Qulin, Mo., and is headquartered in Poplar Bluff, Mo.
Slug Hefner purchased the business in 1991 and is well known for showcasing a variety of collectibles in his stores. The Farmington store displays classic automobiles, antique bicycles, baby strollers and an old-time carriage, and also features, in a walled area, a large boat and moving model shark in water.
