ALEXANDRIA , Va. —Julie A. Palm has been named editor-in-chief of BedTimes magazine, a monthly for the sleep products industry published by the International Sleep Products Assn.

She previously was associate editor of NorthStar Travel Media, product editor for Home Accents Today and associate director of external relations-publications with Wake Forest University's Babcock Graduate School of Management.

EXECUTIVES

Buck's Unpainted Furniture

MINNEAPOLIS —Randy Buck has been named president of retailer Buck's Unpainted Furniture.

The four-store operation is owned by brothers Ramon, Richard, Randy and Roger Buck. The president's post is rotated among them every five years. Richard Buck had been serving as president.

Park Place Mattress

GREENVILLE , S.C. —Darrell Miller has been promoted to vice president/operations for the mattress division of Park Place Corp.

He joined Park Place in 2003. Miller also has been named to the executive committee, which is the senior management team for the corporation.

MARKETING

Leather Italia USA

WILMINGTON , N.C. —Felicia Potts has been promoted to marketing manager at upholstery importer Leather Italia USA.

Potts, formerly customer service manager, is responsible for advertising, merchandising and sales tools.

Potts joined Leather Italia 18 months ago from a local engineering firm. She reports to Michael Campbell, president.

Lynn Fick has been named to succeed Potts as customer service manager. Fick, who has been with the company two years, reports to Ray Cranfield, national sales manager.

RETIREMENT

Capris Furniture OCALA , Fla. —Charles A. "Tony" Stubbs, co-founder, vice president and general sales manager of manufacturer Capris Furniture, has retired after 18 years with the company.

Co-founder Pedro R. Interian has purchased Stubb's interest and remains the company's president and CEO.

MANAGERS

Tupelo Furniture Market

TUPELO, Miss. —Erin McMurchy has been named marketing manager of the Tupelo Furniture Market.

She graduated from Mississippi State University last May.

Blackhawk Furniture

RIVERSIDE , Calif. —Gil Duarte has joined bedroom resource Blackhawk Furniture as traffic manager.

He has more than 20 years experience in logistics and reports to Bruce Masterton, vice president and chief operating officer.

"Gil will help us meet our goals as well as provide support in all our traffic processes," said Masterton.
