WILMINGTON, N.C. — WILMINGTON, N.C. — Leather upholstery source Leather Italia USA has opened a West Coast warehouse in Santa Fe Springs, Calif.
The new 160,000-square-foot facility will be used to distribute imported leather upholstery to Western dealers.
The company also operates a 260,000-square-foot facility in Wilmington.
"We will use the California facility to expand and better serve our account base in the Northwest and in the Southwest," said Michael Campbell, president of Leather Italia. "Landing containers and distributing product from there gives us a big advantage shipping to Western states.
"Those dealers will save on freight rates, which can be high when trucking from the East."
