Stanley taps Sitler for operations post

STANLEYTOWN, Va. — STANLEYTOWN, Va. — Stanley Furniture has promoted Bob Sitler to senior vice president of operations.
Sitler, most recently vice president of manufacturing services, will provide direction for all domestic manufacturing, global sourcing and engineering.
He reports to Jeff Scheffer, president and CEO of the case goods manufacturer and importer based here.
"Bob's 18-year tenure at Stanley includes valuable experience in credit, manufacturing, human resources and supply management," Scheffer said. "Most recently, he has overseen the successful launch of our sourcing initiative — a critical factor in the success of our blended strategy. We are confident that Bob will continue to provide strong leadership and expertise."
Sitler succeeds Bob Smith, who left the company to pursue other interests.
