LEWISBURG, Pa. — LEWISBURG, Pa. – Ron Fuhrman, vice president of marketing and advertising at Pennsylvania House, has assumed the additional responsibility of running the company's gallery program, and Susan Blackman has been promoted to the new position of vice president of creative.
The new assignments are part of a revitalization of the Pennsylvania House In-Store Gallery program.
Fuhrman will be charged with not only enhancing the existing in-store gallery plan, but also with re-establishing the company's ongoing commitment to the program.
"Ron Fuhrman has demonstrated an obvious passion for the success of the gallery program and our retailers in general," said Michael Foster, president of Pennsylvania House. "In addition to working closely with our gallery design team to plan new galleries and enhancements, he will continue to head up the marketing, advertising and promotional plans for our gallery program."
Blackman joined Pennsylvania House last year as director of showroom design. In her new role, she will continue to head up the design efforts in the Pennsylvania House showroom, while assuming responsibility for the creative direction of the company's catalogs, Collector's Book, and other sales and marketing materials.
"Susan Blackman has an extensive background in gallery floor planning, accessory packaging and gallery installations," Foster said. "Her new position will be integral to the success of the program."
In addition, Valerie Jo Roberts has joined the company as marketing sales assistant, reporting directly to Fuhrman and Scott Armstrong, senior vice president of sales.
"Valerie has an impressive background in all aspects of sales and marketing, and has already proved to be an asset," Fuhrman said.
Pennsylvania House, a part of La-Z-Boy Inc., manufactures and imports fine wood residential furniture and custom-made upholstery. In its wood furniture offerings, Pennsylvania House specializes in solid-cherry designs and also offers collections in oak, pine, and maple.
