High Point — High Point— High-end Italian case goods manufacturer Dall'Agnese has been acquired by Doimo International, an Italian furniture-making conglomerate with 2003 sales of 1.2 billion euros. Terms were not disclosed.
Doimo will make its first appearance in High Point this April in space D1102 of the International Home Furnishings Center. The company will show midpriced contemporary and transitional case goods and occasional pieces, and leather upholstery. All product is made in Italy.
No management changes are planned at Dall'Agnese, which will exhibit and operate under its own name. Vittorio Masin continues as general manager and sales director. Dall'Agnese has shown for several High Point markets in Plaza Suites, but plans for the April market haven't been finalized.
Doimo includes over 30 affiliated companies making residential furniture. Categories include upholstery, accents, accessories, case goods, bedding, kitchen and office.
The conglomerate will operate out of Dall'Agnese's 25,000-square-foot High Point warehouse, where it will offer quick-ship programs to complement direct container business.
