England debuts five galleries

NEW TAZEWELL, Tenn. — NEW TAZEWELL, Tenn. — La-Z-Boy upholstery company England has opened five Custom Comfort Centers in stores in Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Illinois and North Carolina.
Pinky's Furniture in Myerstown, Pa., has a 4,000-square-foot England gallery in its 30,000-square-foot store. Pinky's is owned by Portia Deibler, Carl Leinger and Dawn Stohler. It has been in business for 52 years.
Colder's Furniture has installed a 5,250-square-foot Custom Comfort Center in its 85,000-square-foot, newly renovated store in West Allis, Wis. The chain has two other England galleries and plans its fourth in a store to open in Grafton, Wis., this fall.
Illinois retailer Sherman's Place has opened Custom Comfort Centers in stores in Peoria and Normal. Jack and Sharon Sherman opened the business in 1976 and now share ownership with their children, Paul Sherman and Marsha Sherman-Weis.
Oakwood Furniture Galleries in Thomasville, N.C., has dedicated 4,200 square feet to an England gallery. Larry Huskey is owner and operator of the 160,000-square-foot store, which is being renovated.
