GNYHFA creates Rosenberg memorial for cancer research

NEW YORK — The Greater New York Home Furnishings Assn. has established the Alan Rosenberg Memorial Fund for Cancer Research in honor of Rosenberg, the Levitz Home Furnishings Inc. CEO who died in November.

The association will present a check to his family at its annual golf classic, which is dedicated to Rosenberg. The event is set for May 17 at the Woodcrest Country Club in Muttontown, N.Y.

At the same event, the association will announce the recipients of the 2004 Jerry Gans Memorial Award.
