John-Richard expands showroom

HIGH POINT — HIGH POINT — John-Richard, an importer of accent furniture and accessories, has expanded its 200 Steele showroom this market to better showcase its botanical collection.
The company added and enclosed about 3,800 square feet of space to the balcony section of its second-story showroom.
The space is set up like a conservatory and houses about 300 new items in its permanent botanical line. The line, which includes silk, preserved and dried flowers and plants, came out last October with about 150 items.
"They just did very well, so we allotted an entire room to them this time," said Director of Marketing Debbie Roberts.
The extra space brings the total showroom to 33,000 square feet. Because the botanicals occupied less than 1,000 square feet of space before, the change is not expected to add much more space for the company's accents, mirrors and accessories.
This market, John-Richard is bringing out 25 new pieces in its European Crossroads collection, a group of English library accent furniture. It also is introducing 25 new pieces in its Alexander & Mary collection of reproduction chairs and accents.
