NHFA sets office grand opening

HIGH POINT — The National Home Furnishings Assn. is celebrate the grand opening of its new offices here on Wednesday, April 21, from 7:15 to 8:30 a.m. at 3910 Tinsley Drive, Suite 101, the location of its headquarters office.
Local dignitaries as well as staff members and board members will be on hand for the ribbon-cutting.
The previous evening, on Tuesday, April 20, NHFA is hosting the Furniture 500 market kick-off party, featuring a racing theme. The event will be held in the Market Square courtyard and is co-hosted by Nextel Wireless Communications and the International Furniture Suppliers Assn. The festivities will begin at 5:30 p.m. and will feature entertainment by The Embers.
NHFA will honor its Retailers of Year at an industry gala on Thursday, April 22. The evening begins with cocktails at 6 p.m., followed by dinner at 7 p.m. Awards will be presented at 8 p.m. This year's honorees are Jeffrey S. Child of R.C. Willey in Salt Lake City and Cherie Rose of The Rose Collection in Los Gatos, Calif.
The evening will be co-hosted by the International Home Furnishings Representatives Assn., which will honor Linda Ledet with the Harold P. Braun Distinguished Service Award and Jack Walts of Keller Mfg. with the Pillar of the Industry award.
Tickets for the gala are $75 per individual or $70 per person for a reserved table of eight. Reservations may be made by calling (800) 888-9590.
