CARSON, Calif. — CARSON, Calif.— Case goods source Good Cos. has hired Robert Luce as vice president of sales and marketing, replacing Frank Garcia, who is taking a step back.
Garcia will focus on new product development and expanding sales into Mexico. He will work with the executive team until July 1 to help with the transition.
"He has been instrumental in building the company to where it is today," said President Sarah Garcia. "We feel incredibly lucky to continue to have him as a teacher, mentor and conscience of the company."
Luce brings 20 years experience in the industry, most recently as president of Statements International, a high-end case goods producer, and previously with Lazar Inds. He said he has worked in import and domestic manufacturing and in operations and managerial positions.
He will oversee sales and marketing for all areas except Mexico and will report to the president. Sarah Garcia said Luce's experience will be critical in helping the manufacturer and importer achieve its "aggressive growth targets."
Luce said the company wants to expand the product line, adding categories, while becoming more of a national force. The West Coast company opened a 30,000-square-foot warehouse and distribution center this year in Archdale, N.C., near High Point.
Good Cos. has a new, larger showroom at this week's High Point market in Market on Green, space 407, where it has 7,000 square feet and room to expand.
