PARSIPPANY, N.J. — PARSIPPANY, N.J.— Storis Management Systems will introduce new technologies at the April market, including Advanced Warehouse Management, PocketSP, and instantaneous check verification via NCT — all technological advances to aid retailers with operational efficiency and productivity.
Storis shows in the International Home Furnishings Center, Space M-1210.
The company said Advanced Warehouse Management (AWM) provides supervisors and managers in a distribution center with the accuracy, flexibility and power that the job demands. By giving management the capability to direct warehouse flows by scheduling workloads in advance, distribution center staff members are able to perform their assignments without persistent management intervention.
Storis said AWM also provides online tools to monitor how individuals and the overall distribution center are keeping to the schedule.
PocketSP offers optimized performance designed to increase the productivity of retail sales staff and improve customer service. Using Hewlett Packard's iPaq Pocket PC, which includes built-in WiFi technology, salespeople gain instant access to product numbers, full descriptions, pricing, inventory and stock availability just by scanning a product.
The company says retailers can avoid the inconvenience of non-sufficient funds checks and have the extra assurance of guaranteed payments with Storis' new software integration with National Check Trust, which grants near instantaneous fund availability through electronic check conversion at the point of sale. NCT offers retailers the electronic services Electronic Check Conversion or Traditional Check Guarantee. The streamlined check acceptance process is designed to eliminate returned checks, returned check fees and warranty claims while reducing trips to the bank.
