Myriad featuring customer management tools at market
By Furniture Today Staff -- Furniture Today, April 18, 2004
HIGH POINT — HIGH POINT— Store operating systems supplier Myriad Software is previewing sales-generating, customer-retaining tools at market here, including its new Customer Relationship Management Inventory modules.
"Our two newest modules are the most efficient and effective sales tools (retailers) can give their showroom staff today," said Carolyn Crowley, president.
To show off its new technology, Myriad has expanded its High Point space in the International Home Furnishings center, M-1210.
With the Customer Relationship Management module, Crowley said, stores can personalize the furniture-buying experience. With the latest enhancement to the company's wireless Browser Edition — the Inventory Control module — retailers can transfer inventory, check inventory status, cycle inventory counts and handle inventory receiving, all in real time without needing to be anywhere near a terminal.
The company said the CRM is the key to personalizing the sales process and to making customers feel important. Because it's fully integrated, a salesperson can click a button to update a customer by e-mail, send a notice of an important event, alert a customer to a delivery and thank a customer for a sale.
The CRM module can manage a variety of follow-up tasks, maintain traffic counts, provide analysis metrics essential to sales growth and monitor sales opportunities, the company said.
Myriad's wireless Eclicktic Browser Edition sales module provides access to information via the Internet through Internet-linked devices like PDAs, Web pads and tablet PCs.
Sales staff can remain with customers every minute of the sales process. The Browser Edition enables a salesperson to begin an order at the customer's side, rather than at a workstation, provides the salesperson with an up-to-date customer-purchase history, and conforms inventory counts on the floor, in the warehouse and on order. The addition of the real-time Inventory Control module gives retailers greater and faster inventory knowledge and control, according to the company.
Also at the market, Myriad plans to preview its Foreign Exchange module and review several enhancements the company has made to its Service module.
