Rosenfeld leaving Claridge
Carole Sloan -- Furniture Today, January 18, 2004
SAN DIEGO — Shannon Lee, a founder and principal of China-based fabric mill Claridge Textiles International, has acquired the shares of Joe Rosenfeld, the other founder/principal.
"Joe is retiring," said Lee, "and we are expanding our facilities, staff and product mix. We have added 16 silk looms and have a high-end collection of yarn-dyed silks with 200 ends and 217 picks at $6.95."
The company's line, skewed toward the upper end, includes wide-width fabrics for top-of-the-bed, luxurious chenilles and tapestries.
Claridge, based in Jin Jiang, China with a warehouse in High Point, is expanding its U.S. staff.
Rosenfeld and Lee launched Claridge in late 2002. Both previously were with American Decorative Fabrics, Rosenfeld as president and Lee as director of design.
Earlier, Rosenfeld worked with Lanscot-Arlen and was president of the Ametex division of The Robert Allen Group. Lee is a 10-year veteran of the Chinese textile industry.
