By Furniture Today Staff -- Furniture Today, January 18, 2004
BOSTON — Hardy Poole, an expert in governmental regulations, has joined the National Textile Assn. to provide support to its members on state and federal regulatory issues such as flammability.
NTA is a nonprofit trade organization representing more than 150 textile manufacturers and industry suppliers in the United States, Canada and Mexico.
Both California and the U.S. government are establishing flammability regulations that will affect upholstery fabric manufacturers, according to NTA President Karl Spilhaus. NTA members are working with other industry groups and regulators to promote effective, affordable regulations.
Poole was previously vice president, product services, and corporate secretary of the American Textile Manufacturers Institute. He has more than 30 years of textile experience and has managed numerous technical programs for the U.S. textile industry.
