Microfibres' 24/7 resists stains

HIGH POINT — Nylon velvet specialist Microfibres is introducing a performance fabric called 24/7 at Showtime here this week.
Fabrics in the 24/7 line feature a barrier against stains, mildew, mold and odors.
Anthony DiFoggio, director of marketing, said the protection is built into the fabric, rather than applied topically, so the protection will not wash out or wear off. In addition, the product is highly water resistant and liquids bead up and can be blotted up easily.
The introduction consists of Microfibres' most popular plain shade patterns, including Fairview, Jaguar, Microsuede, Jefferson, Apollo, Avalon, Amigo and Allusion. Prices for the 24/7 fabrics range from $5 to $5.95.
"We will be selling this product into several markets," DiFoggio said, "including residential, hospitality and healthcare. Thus far, we have had a really strong response to the line."
Testing on the 24/7 fabrics included ketchup, coffee, tea, milk, soda and suntan lotion, all of which were completely removed even after setting for more than 24 hours, he said.
