HIGH POINT — HIGH POINT — Waverly is extending its wovens business with a new collection of moderately priced chenille jacquards called Plush Patterns at Showtime here this week.
"Waverly is known for coordinated home furnishings products and decorating solutions. Wovens are one more tool in the decorating story," said Pamela Maffei-Toolan, vice president of design for Waverly Lifestyle Group.
"As the market continues to grow, we are intensifying our designs and assortments to reflect the consumer's desire for more jacquard woven decorative fabric," Maffei-Toolan said. "Although we are treating wovens as a discrete category, they layer in nicely with our prints and other home fashion products."
The initial 11 designs, priced from $7 to $9 per yard, include floral and leaf patterns, scrolls and classic medallion/figures.
Lucille Grippo, communications director, said Waverly expects to introduce the second volume of the Plush Patterns in October.
