GERS signs Jordan's for CreditConnect
By Furniture Today Staff -- Furniture Today, November 23, 2003
San Diego — Retail software provider GERS Retail Systems has signed Top 100 chain Jordan's Furniture for its point-of-sale electronic credit-processing program called CreditConnect.
Four-store Jordan's, based in Avon, Mass., is part of the Berkshire Hathaway furniture division and one of New England's biggest furniture retailers.
"CreditConnect provides pre-settlement auditing, streamlined batch matching and balancing, and greater accuracy, which saves accounting about 10 hours a day," said Peter Clark, director of information systems at Jordan's. "We also estimate that we're processing credit transactions five or six times faster at the register."
GERS said its CreditConnect software handles private-label credit transactions from most major credit providers, including American General, Citifinancial, GE Monogram and Wells Fargo.
Jordan's also uses GERS' CreditCardPlus, a credit card authorization and settlement program.
