Herman named VP at Lane
By Furniture Today Staff -- Furniture Today, April 20, 2009
TUPELO, Miss. — Lane Furniture has promoted Michael Herman to vice president of upholstery merchandising.
Herman, who has been with Lane since 2000, had been director of motion merchandising.
In his new post, he is assuming many of the duties formerly handled by Gentry Long, who recently resigned. Long and William “Skipper” Holliman, who had been Lane's president since August 2007, stepped down earlier this month and said they were going to start a new furniture manufacturing company.
“Michael has done an exceptional job for Lane over the past several years, and I know that his merchandising skills and sales and marketing background will serve us well in this new position,” said Lane President Greg Roy.
