HIGH POINT — The Interior Design Society will host seminars, tours and a social event here for High Point Market attendees.
Seminars and the social event will be in the IDS Seminar Room on the eighth floor of the Radio Building.

3-4:30 p.m.
Trends to Bank On
Michelle Lamb, trend forecaster and senior editor of the Trend Curve, will reveal eight color and design trends that designers need to know to run a successful business. Trend Curve products will be available to attendees at a discount.
5-7 p.m.
Meet, Mingle and Merlot
Join the IDS national staff and seminar speakers for wine, cheese and networking.
Monday, April 27
10 a.m.-2 p.m.
Tour of Furnitureland South
A free shuttle will run from IDS to the sprawling High Point furniture store. Maureen Engel, director of Dream Home Partners, will lead the tour, which will include a look at the store's new model home feature and an introduction to the FLS Dream Home Partners in Design program. It will include a free lunch at Bear Rock Café. Reservations must be made by April 22 by e-mailing ewoody@interiordesignsociety.org.
2-3 p.m.
The Power of PR in Today's Economy
Cameron Cook of Design Management Co. will tell how you can get media attention and get published using different channels and working with a tighter budget. Attendees will learn what tools they need to establish contact with the press, and proper protocol for media follow-up.
3:30-4:30 p.m.
The Tailored Interior
New York designers Benjamin Bradley and David Thiergartner of Bradley Thiergartner Interiors will speak on the appeal of a traditional interior and its role in today's uncertain times. They will tell how the past can lend a sense of calm and continuity to an interior without being old fashioned or formal.

Today's Technology in Design - Are you "invisible" to your customers?
A panel of technology and design experts will talk about what technology is available, how it relates to the design field, and how to prepare for the way your customers and clients want to do business.
