Sleep group going to Vegas

Philadelphia — The Specialty Sleep Assn. has decided not to participate in the Futon and Specialty Sleep Expo here next March and instead plans to show at the World Market Center in Las Vegas in January 2005.
SSA members have been showing with futon producers at the expo in recent years. In a press release, SSA said a key consideration in its decision to skip the Philadelphia show is that the event dates conflict with premarket in High Point.
"Historically, a Las Vegas venue has been preferred by our membership as it draws higher attendance of both domestic and international customers," SSA added. "Based on this experience, the SSA felt it would be in the best interest of our membership and the specialty sleep category to focus on a great show in Las Vegas in 2005."
The World Market Center is under construction and has scheduled its first home furnishings market for Jan. 18–21, 2005.
