Case goods and upholstery resource E.J. Victor is expanding its licensed Ralph Lauren Home line this market with two new collections at different ends of the design spectrum.
The relationship between the two companies became effective in January after Ralph Lauren's departure from Henredon in July.
In October, E.J. Victor showed some pieces from three collections that Ralph Lauren launched to select dealers at a private show in New York last summer. The collections are called Black Sands, Summer House and Modern Equestrian.
The two new collections showing in High Point this week are the first since the licensing agreement officially took effect in January.
Ralph Lauren previewed some of the new product to select dealers in the winter. The two collections include a total of 32 SKUs of bedroom, dining room, occasional and upholstery. This includes six upholstery frames in each collection, said E.J. Victor President John Jokinen.
A group called Indian Cove Lodge is made with oak and mahogany solids and veneers and uses a mix of rustic, classic European, Chinoiserie and Adirondack design elements.
RL Penthouse, made with rosewood veneers and available in black and chocolate lacquer finishes, is a modern collection with Bauhaus and industrial design elements.
All the Ralph Lauren product can be seen at E.J. Victor's showroom at 116 S. Lindsay St. in High Point.
"We are very excited about our new Ralph Lauren Home launch in High Point," said Jokinen. "I think dealers will be energized by the new product and the display."
He said that the products that have already hit Ralph Lauren stores are starting to get some good response and sales. Goods that retailers ordered last fall are just starting to hit retail floors.
