Yearbook will offer access to year's worth of insights

My friends at 1-800-Mattress, formerly known as Dial-A-Mattress, recently gave me a succinct phrase to describe the consumers who buy a mattress over the telephone: Those consumers are "cash rich and time poor."
The "time poor" part of that equation is especially appropriate for those of us who work in the home furnishings industry in general and the bedding industry in particular. (As for the "cash rich" part, hey, we all probably could use more of the green stuff. But I digress...)
Running a retail bedding business takes most of the productive hours one can pour into a day. The bedding producers and suppliers I know all keep up a frantic pace as well.
Thus we come before you this week to promote a time-saving idea: The Bedding Yearbook. This special bedding supplement, which will be packed full of the highlights of this year's bedding coverage, plus some important new information, will be distributed with our Nov. 24 issue. It will make your life easier.
As you know, we've stepped up our bedding coverage significantly this year. By the end of the year, we will have published more than a dozen bedding reports. Obviously, that's over a dozen back issues to search for as you develop new business plans and benchmark the performance of your business against others. Most of those special reports, by the way, are not available online.
We conceived the Bedding Yearbook as a handy way to give you ready access to a comprehensive overview of the bedding industry, in a single issue that you will want to keep near you throughout the year. It will be the Bible of the Bedding Industry. All the facts you need to make better bedding decisions will be at your fingertips. Virtually all of this information is proprietary to Furniture/Today.
The Bedding Yearbook will contain the key reports we published this year on all four segments of the bedding industry: retailers, producers, suppliers and consumers. You will find handy lists of the Top 25 bedding retailers and the Top 10 bedding producers. You'll get a breakdown of the major channels of distribution for mattresses.
On the all-important flammability front, you'll get a directory of the key suppliers and a glossary of key terms. You'll also get an inside look at some of the major suppliers of fire-resistant materials.
On the consumer side, we'll give you never-before-published insights on bedding consumers gleaned from our own research.
We always have believed that information is power. The Bedding Yearbook will put a lot of power at your disposal. A year's worth of insights will be coming your way on Nov. 24.
