The central theme of Four Hands' new branding efforts is "Explore;" simple logo design, seductive photography and buzz-worthy direct-mail postcards entice retailers to explore the exotic possibilities.

French Heritage 442 N. Wrenn St.

  • Adding to the Schooner collection a jewelry armoire in solid cherry from France's coastal region of Anjou; side doors fold out with hooks for necklaces; top lifts up for mirror and lined tray; all drawers are fully lined. Also, a tea/wine cart in solid cherry with walnut burl top.

  • Sauvignon by DeBournais, mirror and four occasional tables, solid French cherry with a light, natural finish; $963 to $2,736.

  • Villa Firenze, nine occasional pieces drawing from Italian, French and English styles; Aged Pine and Shutter Black finishes have hand-rubbed effects and burnished highlights.

  • Hekman Select, 30 pieces in five groups of six items: two cocktails, lamp table, end table, sofa table and cordial table; materials include cherry, pine and mahogany; tables establish a new "best price" for Hekman without compromising form, function or finish.

  • Treasures Afar, 40 stand-alone pieces emphasizing rich veneers such as amboina, crotch mahogany and rosewood on classic forms.

  • Marketing strategy: Offering promotions and programs to reward dealers who commit at market and will provide a second tier of rewards based on the depth of commitment. All tied to terms to help investing dealers floor plan their investment.

Re-launch of former Designers Choice import program with over 50 new items under the new HW Trading Co. banner to reflect breadth of looks and sourcing. Styles ranging from traditional to transitional, with a broad variety of finishes used.

  • Berkshire Cherry, bedroom and occasional, to complement the authentic 18th century styling of Hitchcock's traditional formal dining collection.

  • Pleasant Hill, hard cherry with modern, sophisticated Shaker style in dining, bedroom and occasional.

Introducing seven curios, a new category, to compete at the better end of the market. Offering upper-end features like halogen lighting with touch-latch switches, thick glass shelves, mirrored backs, floor levelers and, in many cases, sliding and side door entry that research showed is important to consumers.

  • 535 Verona, classic traditional design in birch solids, pecan and olive ash burl veneers with a rich dark finish. The 010 curio has front doors while the 030 model has side doors.
