Conover, N.C. — Laneventure has signed a licensing agreement with home accent producer Laurie Bell for WeatherMaster from Laurie Bell.
The exclusive line of decorative pillows, hand-painted umbrella covers and upholstered floor cushions coordinates with the WeatherMaster for Laneventure line of outdoor furniture, which debuted at the casual furniture show in Chicago last month.
"The interest in outdoor living continues to expand among consumers," said Gary McCray, vice president of merchandising for Laneventure. "Our goal is to provide dealers with everything they need to help their fashion-forward customers create the outdoor living spaces they desire, in a way that complements our high-end furnishings."
The new line also includes coordinating throws, table linens and hand-crafted floorcloths, all suitable for outdoor use.
"You can't have good furniture and accessories unless you have good fabric," said Laurie Jenkins, founder and chief designer of Laurie Bell. Jenkins said the fabrics in the WeatherMaster line are weather-resistant, solution-dyed acrylics from Sunbury, Shuford Mills and Glen Raven Mills. Laurie Bell also worked with Ardwyn Binding Products to create coordinating trims that are engineered for weather resistance.
"Laneventure recognizes the need for fashionable, coordinated accessories in this growing segment of the business," Jenkins said. "Form and function come together for the outdoor living space of the future in this collaboration between our two companies. Retailers can't believe these are outdoor fabrics because they are so pretty."
