Elite Leather
Los Angeles — Scott Greenblat has been named Elite Leather's first Salesperson of the Year.
Greenblat, who joined the family-owned custom leather upholstery manufacturer three years ago, was honored for his outstanding achievements in 2003, including the biggest sales increase from the previous year and the highest sales volume companywide.
His sales territory of Illinois, Iowa, Wisconsin, Minnesota and Nebraska includes key accounts Marshall Field's and Nebraska Furniture Mart.
"Scott came in and reinvigorated the Midwestern market for us," said Gabrielle Galardo, marketing manager of Elite Leather. "We're thrilled to have him on our team and appreciate all of his great work."
Elite Leather also recognized the sales efforts of Melvyn Breslow, who has been with Elite seven years and covers Pennsylvania, Maryland, the District of Columbia, Virginia, western New York and southern New Jersey; and Randy Gleckman, a 10-year Elite veteran who handles the western Unites States. All three were honored at a dinner ceremony at the April market.

Select Comfort
Minneapolis — Airbed manufacture and retailer Select Comfort has elected President and CEO Bill McLaughlin to the additional post of chairman of the board, succeeding Patrick Hopf, who will continue to serve on the board.
McLaughlin joined Select Comfort as president and CEO in March 2000, and has led the company to 11 consecutive profitable quarters.
Ervin R. Shames has been named to the newly created position of lead director. He is a former president and CEO of Borden and a former president of Kraft USA. Shames has served on Select Comfort's board since 1996 and currently chairs the corporatate governance and nominating committee. In his post as lead director, he will chair executive sessions of the board and work with the chairman to establish board agendas and goals.
Thomas J. Albani, David T. Kollatt and McLaughlin were all elected to new three-year terms on the board.

CFC International
Chicago Heights, Ill. Jack Joyce has joined specialty coatings supplier CFC International as vice president of human resources.
He will be responsible for all human resources issues at the company's Chicago Heights and Countryside, Ill., facilities.
He reports to Greg Jehlik, president and chief operating officer, and replaces Robert Klueppel, who retired from CFC in April.
Joyce has more than 20 years of human resources management experience. He previously held positions at Solo Cup, Sargent and Lundy Engineers, Andrew Corp. and Tellabs.
