Hickory Springs hires Wall

Hickory, N.C. — Furniture industry veteran James Wall has been named director of consumer products at Hickory Springs Mfg., a new position for the furniture and bedding components producer.
Wall, who most recently was president of case goods importer Southport Furniture, will oversee the company's Hickory At Home line, which includes metal beds, futons and occasional tables sold directly to retailers. He reports to Lee Lunsford, vice president of operations.
Prior to his stint at Southport, Wall spent 15 years with vertically integrated retailer-manufacturer This End Up. He spent 10 years in a variety of manufacturing, logistics and distribution posts, and then was promoted to executive vice president and chief operating officer.
Wall earlier worked with Burlington House, American Drew and HickoryMark Furniture.
