Bassett, Va. — Bassett Furniture Inds. has honored its top idea coordinators, salespeople, store managers and stores in the 94-unit Bassett Furniture Direct network.
More than 200 BFD associates attended an event held at Treasure Island in Las Vegas.
"The program was designed to provide further incentive for our store associates to sell more furniture, and to recognize the best of the best in our store network," said Michael Satterfield, Bassett vice president of retail and marketing. "The conference also allowed us to receive valuable input from our stores as we continue our effort to make the BFD store program the best in the industry."
Kathleen Ammermuller, director of retail training and dean of Bassett University, moderated an idea-sharing session. Rob Spilman Jr., Bassett president and chief executive officer, spoke about the company's position in the marketplace and the store program's future growth.
